1. Serving our Community

We are dedicated to providing community aid, working diligently to minimize the plight and suffrage of families who require the need for services. Through the engagement of volunteers, community partners and local schools, we aim to spread awareness about the continual need while helping to build community involvement.

As we continue to offer resources, this will afford support to families and individuals as the needs arise.

Through our community events, we make it our duty to learn about the individuals who are seeking much needed services. We will work one-on-one, developing a strategic plan to resolve the complexities of each client. This would include employment, hunger relief, clothing, reasonable healthcare, affordable housing, and the like.

Through our continual support provided to families and individuals, it has and will bring resolve to their essential needs.

“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.”

2. Serving our Veterans

Our nation is too often missing the opportunity to honor our men and women who served and sacrificed their lives while in combat for our country. When these soldiers are released, a great number of them are forgotten.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) states the nation’s homeless veterans are primarily male, with roughly 9% being female. The majority are single; live in urban areas; and suffer from mental illness, alcohol and/or substance abuse, or co-occurring disorders. About 11% of the adult homeless population are veterans.

Our United States veterans require the support that will help them land a sustainable lifestyle. Unfortunately, it’s difficult for them to revamp their lives to the level of normalcy often suffering from post traumatic stress disorder after the war.

We are dedicated to providing services which include computer enrichment courses as well as typing classes that will help to exercise the brain and rebuild the love of learning. Workshops and presentations are offered to provide resources and awareness to their beneficial need.

3. Serving our Youth

It’s cliché to say, “Our children are our future.” Nevertheless, this is a phrase that holds a wealth of meaning.

In 2018, the federal poverty line was $12,140 for an individual, $16,460 for a family of two, $20,780 for a family of three, and $25,100 for a family of four. It seems odd to say, but the poverty line is all about food.

As families struggle, our youth are also suffering. This can often affect the learning of each child, causing concentration to be a strain. No child deserves to suffer.

Our goal is to bring awareness in our local schools through canned food drives and educating the cause of child hunger. Without the proper nourishment, our children become deficient in growth, affecting proper development.

Through our youth community events, our goal is to build the confidence of every child, making them ready and able to succeed. Our event programs include: Back-to-School drives, coat drives, reading fundamentals, learning through the arts, and more.
